2026-2027 Regulations on the admission to UAUIM for foreign applicants and romanians everywhere.pdf

Citizens of the member states of the European Union, of the states belonging to the European Economic Area and of the Swiss Confederation, who are not ethnic Romanians - Romanians everywhere, will participate in admission to all cycles of university studies, under the same conditions provided by law for Romanian citizens, including with regard to the admission calendar and tuition fees.


Foreign candidates applying for programs taught in Romanian must have completed the preparatory year of learning the Romanian language and/or demonstrate knowledge of the Romanian language at least at level B2.

Candidates applying for the Architecture study program (6 years) taught in English must demonstrate knowledge of the language at least at the international B2 level by taking a test at UAUIM or by presenting one of the following language proficiency certificates: FCE (min.B2), CAE (min.C1), CAMBRIDGE PROFICIENCY (min.C2), TOEFL (min. score 45), IELTS (min band 5), ECL (min.B2), FIDES (min.B2).

All candidates must pass an aptitude test. Requirements vary depending on the program profile and level of study. For detailed information, it is recommended to study the Admission Regulations published on the page https://www.uauim.ro/admitere/ .

Tuition fees

For each study program, subsidized places are allocated that can be filled by competition by EU citizens, as well as a number of fee-paying places. The tuition fee for EU citizens is the same as for Romanian citizens.

Third-country nationals are usually accepted only for fee-paying places. They can benefit from grants and scholarships offered by the Romanian Government.

Documents required for EU citizens

  2. transcripts for all high school years – original or certified copy
  3. Romanian language proficiency certificate or request to take a test at UAUIM – for study programs taught in Romanian
  4. English language proficiency certificate or request to take a test at UAUIM – for study programs taught in English
  5. birth certificates – legalized copy
  6. document certifying the name change, where applicable
  7. copy of passport / identity card
  8. 2 ID card-type photos (approx. 3.5 x 4.5 cm)
  9. graduation diploma from an educational institution – where applicable – in original or legalized copy
  10. proof of payment of the entrance exam registration fee – 300 lei. The fee can be paid by bank transfer to the account:

Documents are accepted in English, French, Spanish, Italian or Romanian. For documents in other languages, an authorized translation into Romanian is required.

Documents required for non-EU citizens

  1. application for the issuance of the Letter of Acceptance for Studies. For details see: https://www.edu.ro/studiaza-in-romania
  2. copy and legalized translation of the baccalaureate diploma or equivalent, authenticated by the competent authorities in the issuing country
  3. transcripts for all high school years – copy and legalized translation
  4. Romanian language proficiency certificate or request to take a test at UAUIM – for study programs taught in Romanian
  5. English language proficiency certificate or request to take a test at UAUIM – for study programs taught in English
  6. birth certificates – copy and legalized translation
  7. document certifying the name change, where applicable
  8. passport copy
  9. copy of document certifying permanent residence abroad
  10. 2 ID card-type photos (approx. 3.5 x 4.5 cm)
  11. proof of payment of the entrance exam registration fee – EUR 350. The fee can be paid by bank transfer to the account below:

  12. medical certificates (in an internationally spoken language) attesting that the person to be enrolled in studies does not suffer from infectious diseases or other diseases incompatible with the future profession.
